In 2004, Juan Peasant was inspired to start PM Group. PM Group’s multi-layered business strategy helps leaders grow their business and motivate their employees to deliver better results in a happier work environment. Through years of experiences, partnerships and influences have helped shape and develop Juan’s pathway as a passionate consultant and advisor to serve others.
His first job during high school, as a pizza maker with Pizza Hut, Juan was obsessed with customer service and pizza perfection. While in college, he worked as an intern at Kimberly Clark. Here, he gained valuable team building skills that provided him the opportunity to identify gaps and bring people together to solve complex problems that eliminated waste and increased productivity. These early opportunities in Juan’s career were instrumental in sharpening his skills as a problem solver and better yet, a solutions provider. Upon graduating from the University of South Alabama, Juan landed the role as General Manager for the southern region at Service Point, one of the largest reprographics companies in the U.S. and Europe. It was at Service Point USA where he was able to enhance his managerial skills to motivate employees and develop a positive culture of driven staff members.
With Juan’s high level of engagement with staff members and customers, he quickly grabbed the attention of company leaders, and was offered the opportunity to transition into the sales division as the Regional Sales Executive for Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama. In this role, he continued to excel at an extraordinary pace and within 18 months became one of the leading sales executives in the country for Service Point USA, generating the 2 nd highest profit margin in the country for the company, competing with major markets such as New York, Los Angeles and Chicago.
In the role of Regional Sales Executive, Juan landed one of the most coveted accounts in his portfolio, RSA (Retirement Systems of Alabama). While working with RSA, Juan showcased his superior skills as an advisor and created a strategic action plan to support the mega client, while managing all reprographic work and print managed services for the $200 million RSA Battle House Tower project in Mobile Alabama. This endeavor solidified Juan’s negotiation and business development skills.
After several years of sales and business development, Juan wanted to venture out on his own and began a journey dedicated to serving other businesses to help them increase sales and secure and retain the right talent for their business. With a niche background surrounding printing, marketing and sales, his first client was a local printing company. The owner was open to new ideas and had the desire to enhance his business by trusting the process Juan laid out which focused on the owner’s strengths and allowed others to do the same. This was a dream client for PM Group as, through the process, Juan was able to help the owner increase revenues over 85% in just one year. Through continued focus, Juan was able to help the company reach growth by an astounding 110% increase in revenue over the previous year.
Juan’s ability to quickly and thoroughly assess opportunities is extremely effective in helping organizations reach their highest potential. He and the team at PM Group create solutions that are proven to identify employee motivators, behaviors and ideal work that will improve company performance. Juan has served on several boards such as Advertising Federation and Home Builders Association of Mobile and currently serves on the board of 100 Black Men of Greater Mobile, Inc., and sits on the Advisory Board for The First Bank.
